About me.

My name is Garry Abbott, I am a writer and musician and I live in Stoke on Trent with my wife and daughter.

I’ve made a lot of stuff over the years, some of which you will find in this blog, such as links to my science fiction books, or posts about my various music projects, short stories, reviews, poetry and podcast.

I don’t make any real money from this to live on, I do that working for the housing and charity sector full time. It’s a job I’m happy with but it doesn’t stop me wanting to create and connect with people through my work. So, If you have found yourself reading this, please go and read or listen to something in or linked to this blog – that’s all I really want. And if you like it, please let someone know.

Thanks for dropping by.

  1. Hello Garry,

My daughter (16) and I are massive fans of the Beatles, and since a few months also of your BBSO podcast! We love all the information and the wit which Paul and you present in each episode (and we’re very amused about the impossible, yet bravely done sorting endeavour).

We‘re at episode 28 (trying not to consume them too fast), and we have a big question: Is there a version of the Excel chart score which only comprises the songs rated up to this episode (or an earlier one)? We‘d love to look up the ranking so far, but we cannot look it up in the final table because of course we must not find about the rankings of the songs to come!

    Kind regards from Vienna,

    Lily and Dorothee

    • Hello Lily and Dorothee! Thanks for getting in touch. Always really happy to hear from people enjoying the podcast!

Actually, I do have a version with the scores for each week on tabs! I can send it over for you if you want? Drop me a line at BigBeatlesSortOut@gmail.com and I will send over a version. I only did it this way for series 1, so you’re in luck. I won’t have the same for seasons 2-4, as I just updated it each week.

Look forward to hearing from you!

      Thanks again for listening!

      Garry
